Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Padr application ("App") operated by Sloth Precision ("we", "us", or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Padr, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sloth Precision.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use Padr. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the App.

3. Description of Service

Padr is an iOS application designed to help cat owners organise their cat's care and wellbeing. The App allows users to:

  • Connect and monitor supported cat-care devices, such as feeders, water fountains, litter boxes, and cameras, through available third-party integrations;
  • Track daily activities including feeding, hydration, litter usage, play, and weight;
  • View cat-specific care signals, trends, and informational recommendations based on collected data;
  • Access nutritional information and set feeding schedules;
  • Share cat-care data with family members.

4. Not Veterinary Advice

Padr is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. The care signals, trends, recommendations, alerts, and all other information provided by the App are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the advice of a qualified veterinarian with any questions you may have regarding your cat's health or medical condition. Never disregard professional veterinary advice or delay seeking it because of information you have read or received through Padr.

If your cat is experiencing a medical emergency, contact a veterinarian immediately.

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • The health, safety, and wellbeing of your cat;
  • Ensuring you own or have proper authorisation to access and connect any smart devices you link to the App;
  • Maintaining the accuracy of information you provide about your cat, including weight, breed, age, and health conditions;
  • Securing your account credentials and any family sharing codes you generate;
  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

6. Third-Party Integrations

Padr integrates with third-party services and cat-care devices, including supported Smart Life, Tuya, Home Assistant, and manufacturer connections. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective terms and privacy policies of those third parties.

We do not guarantee the availability, functionality, or continued operation of any third-party integration. Features dependent on third-party services may become unavailable if those services are discontinued, modified, or experience outages. We are not responsible for any loss of data or functionality resulting from changes to third-party services.

7. Subscription and Payments

Padr offers an optional premium subscription called Padr+. Padr+ adds longer Care comparisons, personalised context, food and litter photo analysis, advanced notifications, reports, more connected devices, selected device controls, and one successful original Kastardo creation for the Padr family. Basic includes ordinary logging, the latest seven Care days, and the first Care pattern after seven clear Care days with enough real records. Support, account access, export, deletion, device status, safety warnings, and practical care-critical follow-ups are not locked behind Padr+.

Included first week: Every new Padr family receives Padr+ access for its first seven calendar days. This access is provided by Padr, does not start an App Store subscription or free trial, does not require payment, and expires automatically. It is separate from the three-day introductory offer that Apple may show to an eligible Padr+ Annual subscriber.

Subscription Plans:

  • Padr+ Monthly: $5.99 per month. No introductory free trial.
  • Padr+ Annual: $49.99 per year. Includes a 3-day free trial for eligible subscribers.

Prices shown are in US dollars. Actual prices may vary by region, currency, tax, storefront, and Apple eligibility. The price displayed in the App Store purchase sheet at the time of purchase is the price you will be charged.

Removed plan: Padr+ Weekly is no longer offered to new subscribers. Existing Apple subscribers, if any, can still manage or cancel that subscription through Apple Subscriptions.

Billing and Renewal: Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or when an eligible annual free trial ends. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price shown by Apple.

Annual Free Trial: The 3-day trial applies only to eligible annual subscriptions. Eligibility is determined by Apple and may be limited to one trial per Apple Account. Monthly Padr+ and Kastardo Pack purchases do not include a free trial.

Family Sharing: Where Apple marks the annual Padr+ subscription as shareable, eligible members of the purchaser's Apple family may use the shared subscription. A shared entitlement is used with one Padr family at a time. Monthly Padr+ and separate Kastardo Pack purchases are not shared through Apple Family Sharing.

Kastardos: One successful original Kastardo creation is included for the Padr family while Padr+ is active. An unsuccessful creation is not treated as the included successful result. The included Pack follows the active Padr+ subscription. If Padr+ ends, Padr uses Glass Cat or a separately purchased Kastardo Pack. A Kastardo Pack bought separately is a one-off in-app purchase, does not expire, and remains associated with that Padr family independently of Padr+. The current U.S. price is $0.99; the App Store purchase sheet shows the applicable local price before confirmation.

Managing and Cancelling: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or through the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current subscription period. Padr+ remains available until that period ends.

Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices. You will be notified of any price changes before they take effect. If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.

Apple Standard EULA: Your use of this App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

8. Account Termination and Deletion

You may delete your Padr account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion:

  • Your account and associated data will be permanently removed from our active systems;
  • Any family members connected to your account will lose access to shared cat-care data;
  • Data may be retained in backup systems for a limited period as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, after which it will be permanently deleted.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful to other users, third parties, or the App itself.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, features, functionality, and design elements, is owned by Sloth Precision and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information provided through the App.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SLOTH PRECISION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the App;
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the App;
  • Any content obtained from the App.
  • Any health issues, injuries, or death of your cat, regardless of whether such damages were foreseeable.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us for use of the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or GBP £100, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sloth Precision, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use the App after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sloth Precision regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
